About our BT relationship
An explanation
As mentioned elsewhere, Channel Telecom has an arrangement whereby we are able to sign our customers onto BT contracts when that's appropriate. We are able to do this because we are a Reseller for BT.
Most of BT's world class products and services are therefore available through Channel Telecom. This means that you have more choice when you are looking for a communications solution for your business.
Specialist capabilities
We work with one of the few Authorised Partners of BT in the UK. Both Companies are specialists in networking technologies and have expert knowledge about network security, data and voice integration and communications applications. We have extensive experience of working with SME organisations, understand the needs of small businesses and will be able to deliver the best BT communications solutions for you. Resellers for BT are independent businesses, which means that it is in our interest to serve you in the best way possible.
Working closely with BT
We have access to the latest BT product and service information. This enables us to make BT's products an integral part of your communications solution. We therefore have a wide portfolio available for you including:

Same product, same price, same contract
When Channel Telecom makes an offer of a BT service to a business customer, the price, service definition, performance and the related terms & conditions are absolutely identical to those that you would get from a BT salesperson (assuming exactly the same solution or package has been selected). Furthermore Channel Telecom has direct access to BT systems which enable us to place orders in a timely manner.
During the implementation phase the customer will be kept informed of progress via Channel Telecom, but the installation itself is done by BT. Once the service has been installed the customer will be billed by BT in exactly the same way as if the order had been placed with them direct in the first place.
If the customer has cause to report any faults during the contract term they can do so by contacting BT direct, or in some circumstances it may be appropriate for the fault to be raised with Channel Telecom first and for us to report into BT on the customer's behalf. Any billing queries would also normally be raised with BT directly.
Why place orders for BT services through Channel Telecom?
Some organisations like BT's products and services but for one reason or another prefer to deal with an independent company when making their purchasing decisions for relevant services ("Buy BT without having to deal with BT"). Channel Telecom is delighted to be able to help meet the needs of such customers.
Buying BT services through Channel Telecom's partners
A number of our partners have also been trained to promote and take orders for BT services, and after undertaking to meet the ongoing requirements laid down by BT have the right to use the "Reseller for BT" endorsement too. For more information see here.
