Clifford is Managing Director of Channel Telecom, the company he founded in 2008 to finally provide the channel with a service based on his own passion and dedication to the industry. Clifford had been instrumental in setting up three previous telecoms enterprises, two in the UK and one in South Africa.
To ensure there were no compromises in service delivery Clifford initially worked alone and self-funded Channel Telecom with nothing more than a personally guaranteed overdraft. After eight years he has created an enterprise with over £10 million annual turnover. Channel Telecom has near two hundred channel partners with thousands of customers and supports end-user comms operations around the world.
A key element in the success of Channel Telecom is Clifford’s ability to build relationships with suppliers. This allowed Channel Telecom, certainly in the early days, to punch above its weight in a highly competitive market sector. Now firmly established as one of the leading providers to the channel, Clifford attributes that success down to having fantastic partners, being surround by able and like minded people and making good decisions in the early stages of the business.
Head of Partner Sales
Steve is responsible for overseeing sales within Channel’s account management and desk based sales team. Steve also works closely with the Channel Telecom Marketing team to improve existing partner performance, whilst also recruiting new partners.
Head of IP Voice
Tim heads up Channel Telecoms IP Voice portfolio. Tim whilst overseeing everything IP, mainly assists partners in putting together solutions or proposals and dealing with the ongoing support of existing services.
Head of Wholesale Billing
Donna runs the billing and reseller support team; ensuring that both Channel Telecoms bill run and the Reseller bill runs are completed in a timely manner. What is pivotal to Channel Telecom is providing partners the tools they need to grow and succeed. With that ethos Donna provides ongoing support and training for new and existing resellers.
Ex bank manager Bernie is responsible for credit checks new Partners and Resellers. Whilst managing early termination of contracts and contractual queries, Bernie also deals with customer complaints, debt collection, Invoice queries and billing disputes. Simply put, Bernie ensure accounts are settled and customers are happy.
Head of Data
Similar to Tim, Stuart is responsible for heading up a whole aspect of the Channel Telecom portfolio. As Head of Data Services Stuarts role includes all aspects of pre and post sales for EFM, Ethernet and MPLS Networks.
As operations manager, Carlie liaises with management and team members to ensure there is cohesion across all areas of the company. This is mainly to ensure the smoothest possible process for our partners, whether that be in processing orders, following faults, on boarding or simply day to day interactions. Separately, Carlie aids in the training and supervising of new employees and tracking and measuring overall colleague performance.
Marli is responsible for all aspects of financial control, reporting and managing the company finances. Arguably one of the most pivotal areas of any business, Marli ensure activity is kept within budget and most importantly that partners are paid correctly and on time!
