And how Channel Telecom got its name
Channel Telecom goes to market through a network of trusted partners. Our entire operation was originally set up and continues to be optimised for indirect selling. In all respects - portfolio, service wrap and overall commercial proposition - we strive to make it as easy as possible for our partners to meet their customers’ needs and therefore to be successful. This channel-only model is the reason for our name.
Partner proposition
We offer two primary commercial models to our partners; dealers sell Channel Telecom-branded services in return for ongoing commission payments, whilst resellers onward sell our portfolio under their own brand, and set their own tariffs. In the first case Channel Telecom bills the end user, whilst in the second the reseller is responsible.
Channel Telecom supports partners in a number of ways including marketing, pre-sales, ordering, and by handling or assisting with any service issues. Partners are also given access to our state of the art billing system and to various self-service portals. Also this website has a 'private' area (partner zone) which contains a growing amount of content only visible to partners. Furthermore each partner is assigned a Channel Telecom partner manager who is tasked with ensuring the success of the relationship for all those involved.
Some of our partners undertake to comply with the conditions necessary to allow them to sell BT services as well as or instead of promoting the Channel Telecom (or their own) brand. For more information please see here.
